NAPA VALLEY PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY EXHIBIT CONNECTIONS now through March 26, 2010. A juried exhibit of the work of the esteemed artists of the NVPS.

Thanks to all of the members of the Valley Vines 4-H Club.
After meeting in the Gallery for a six week workshop, the group put on an exhibit of their photographic work for a packed crowd.
Thanks to their instructors Bob Beardsley and Len Powers.
It was fun to see such exciting and talented young photography artists. |

First Announcement a Summer-Long Arts & Music Event : June 19 thru Sept. 2010

Featuring a variety of special events including, MUSIC IN ART Exhibit—with Live Music Nights Annual PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST & EXHIBIT: ROOTSTOCK in Photography Plus
A Dynamic Interactive ArtWork
“CHANGE”
Everyone is invited to take part in our “Change” Exhibit. Participants are asked to supply us with a unique piece of art. As each small piece is added to the whole, the artwork will change and grow. The end result will surprise us all.
Tell your friends! The more pieces, the better! Simple or elaborate. Ribbons for the pieces received from the farthest away!
How to Prepare Your Art: Maximum size: 5 x 6 inches x 1/2 “ thick, pre-punched with two hanging holes. Print Artist’s name and place of residence legibly on the front. their own art. Installation will begin June 10. Art must be received between now and STitle may appear on front, if desired. Include full name and contact information on a separate sheet. Artists are welcome to hang ept. 1; hand deliver, mail or ship. Any art that is meaningful to the artist is welcome — including photographs, mosaics, paintings, collage, etc. Work must hang from holes provided by artist. All works will be on sale at a closing event for $20.00 each. Proceeds benefit student art fund.

INFORMATION AND DETAILS. “CHANGE” EXHIBIT
Artist Privacy: The Artist’s name will appear on a roster; the name and place of residence shown on the front of the artwork will be displayed; but the full contact information provided separately by the artist will be for the use of Studio II Gallery records only, and will not be made public.
The Artist understands and agrees that the submitted work will become part of a larger artwork and as such will be photographed. Photos of the entire artwork will be the property of Studio II Gallery and will be used at the discretion of Studio II Gallery. In addition, individual art pieces may be reproduced by Studio II Gallery for advertising and promotional purposes.
Final Arbiter: Although we plan to display all provided artworks, all decisions about the “Change” exhibit, including which and whether art pieces will be displayed, will be solely at the discretion of Studio II Gallery.
Web: Photographs taken of the transition phases of the “Changes” display will appear periodically on Studio II website as well as other publicity venues.
Disposition of unsold art: No art will be returned to the Artist. All art pieces unsold at event’s end will become property of Studio II Gallery. The management of the Gallery will decide upon disposition of these works.
The Student Fund: At the end of the event, all profits from the “Change” exhibit will be placed into a separate bank account. Disposition methods will depend upon total amount received, but will be disbursed through an application process to students demonstrating a desire to further their art education as well as a need. Applicants will be solicited from local schools and organizations.
